the origins

galvanina group

Galvanina has a fascinating ancient history. Situated on the slopes of Paradise Hill, where ancient Roman baths once stood, Galvanina takes its name from the eponymous mineral water spring. It is here that a centuries-long journey began throughout the territory of Rimini.

The Renaissance

The symbol of Galvanina

The coat of arms, a symbol of Galvanina, is that of the noble family who once owned the mineral water spring. It is carved on a monumental, 16th- century fountain and according to tradition, was designed by none other than the great Italian painter, architect and art historian, Giorgio Vasari.

The San Giuliano plant stands on a site long known for its natural water source, which once served local communities for generations. According to local legend, in the 10th century, a marble sarcophagus containing the remains of a saint washed ashore along the nearby coastline. At the very spot where it arrived, a spring of pure water is said to have emerged — a sign that marked the place as sacred. The name of the spring itself is believed to derive from this miraculous event, forever linking the source to a sense of spiritual origin.

Over the centuries, the site has evolved into a state-of-the-art production and bottling facility, offering natural and sparkling mineral water, along with a wide range of organic and conventional beverages.
